*Began studying the psychic sciences at a very young age: astrology, numerology, vibratory attunement, color therapy, the aura
*Began working with people spiritually at a very young age, several of her first spiritual mentors were her elementary school teachers.
*Had a practice as a Spiritual Tarot reader for several years till 2001. She enjoyed it immensely. Eventually this work shifted from psychic to mediumistic.
*Enjoyed helping people to interpret their dreams.
*Became a Spiritualist. Studied Spiritualism, Natural Law and the fine lines between science and spiritual phenomenon through the Morris Pratt Institute and recommended reads.
*Fell in love with psychometry: reading the vibrations from an object. Enjoyed the research of Dr. Joseph Rhodes Buchanan and Professor William Denton: Psychometry phase of Mediumship.
*Has been called upon to locate missing objects, persons and pets. She feels this can be challenging work.
*Traveled Victoria B. C. in 2007 to work with Rev. Brian Robertson and Rev. Simon James of the Open Door Sanctuary in order to better understand the "Path of the Medium" and the mechanics. *She continues to check in with them taking classes that help her to be a better medium, a better person. Eventually she was asked to do a platform demonstration at the Open Door Sanctuary.
*Recently took a class in Trance Mediumship with Robin Hodson, President of the International Federation of Spiritualist, to help bring out her natural ability as a Trance Medium.

Lending a Voice to Historical Literature!
Katrina enjoys being the voice and face of Jennie Carter, an African American Nevada City Journalist during the Reconstruction-Era for Lisa Redfern's historical blog: Following Deer Creek. This has been one of the most enriching decisions Katrina has made this year because she is giving a voice and adding color to an otherwise forgotten people of the early west.
